Why borosilicate glass can be repaired

Borosilicate glass has the unique property of resisting thermal shock. This allows the damaged part to be reheated to modify, weld, or replace the broken section. The result: a durable and invisible repair, carried out directly by the craftsman who created the piece.

My creations are all made of borosilicate glass, which guarantees that they can be repaired if broken.

Soda-lime glass or crystal: what are the differences?

If your jewelry or glass object is made of soda-lime glass or crystal, heat repair is unfortunately not possible: these materials crack or shatter when heated. In this case, only gluing the pieces back together can be considered, without any guarantee of strength or an appearance identical to the original.
